MCA PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES

The M.C.A program is a mix of computer-related and general business courses. The computer related courses use microcomputers to introduce standard techniques of programming; the use of software packages including word processors, spreadsheets and databases; system analysis and design Tools. The general business courses include the functional areas of management like accounting, sales, purchase, inventory, and production. The course would emphasis the study and creation of business applications, rather than more programming Inclusion of projects in each semester improves student’s technical orientation, understanding of IT environment and domain knowledge. It will build right platform for students to become successful Software professional. This would emphasize on domain knowledge of various areas, which would help the students to build software applications on it.

The students are exposed to system development in the information-processing environment, with special emphasis on savitribai phule university Syllabus for Masters of Computer Application For Academic Year 2012-2013 Management Information Systems and Software Engineering for small and medium computer systems. Inclusion of Business Management Labs will help students to acquire thorough knowledge of management practices in organization. Subjects such as ERP, Information Security, Business Intelligence will work as new application domains. Major focus is also given on Mobile technologies so that student can choose Mobile Technologies as their career options. Also, exposure to microcomputer technology, micro-based systems design and micro applications software, including network and graphical user interface systems is provided. Advanced Internet and Web technology includes variety of new technologies. Soft skills techniques are covered in every semester, which will lead to overall personality development of the student and that will help them in their placement activities and to sustain in the organization successfully.

Admission Procedure For MCA

For MCA Basic Qualification
In order to secure admission to first year of the three-year full time MCA course , the candidate should fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

Non-Zero Score in MH-MCA-CET 2014 & Passed with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate*( 45% in case of candidates of backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra State only) in any Full Time Bachelor' degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities. And having studied Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at 10 + 2 level or higher level examination.

Documents to be attached at the time of admission
Candidates reporting for admissions should submit the following documents (originals) along with the full fees.
Certificate of Indian Nationality in the name of the Candidate.
Statement of marks of HSC.
Statement of marks of SSC.
Statement of marks for the Bachelor's Degree Examination (i.e. the Qualifying Degree examination) in case the candidate has passed the bachelor's degree examination (Candidates who have appeared for final year degree examination have time limit up to 25th Sept, 2014 to produce the same).
Caste Certificate(if applicable).
Caste/Tribe Validity certificate* (if applicable) or Undertaking in Proforma.
Non Creamy Layer Certificate* valid up to 31st March 2015 (if applicable).
Domicile certificate** (if applicable), clearly indicating the place of permanent residence of the candidate/ Father or Mother or Husband.
